Amílcar Franco is a classically trained Dominican–French actor and filmmaker based in London. A graduate of the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, he brings a cross‑cultural perspective to performance and to the stories he creates, drawing from Dominican and Caribbean heritage with clarity and intent.

He recently wrapped principal photography on A Colt Is My Passport, directed by Gareth Evans and produced by Amazon MGM Studios / Orion Pictures, starring Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù, Jack Reynor, and Tim Roth, slated for release in 2027. His screen credits also include Bezos: The Beginning (Spanglish Media) and Teleport (Gravitas Ventures), both distributed on Prime Video.

His performance in El Corazón won Best Drama at the Aesthetica Film Festival. As a filmmaker, his short The Peanut Vendors - narrated by Alex Jennings and performed by Christine Allado - was nominated at the International Sound and Music Awards and reflects his signature interest in analogue warmth, musical heritage, and intimate human connection.

He currently wrapped Alive in Their Garden, a Spanish‑language film created in dialogue with the Mirabal family. Their story later inspired the United Nations’ International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, and the film examines silence, memory, and the charged emotional space that precedes historical rupture.
